I recently teamed up with Universal Music and Nelson Wong Creative Consulting to create a monster-iffic game for Kiss. The KISS Monster campaign consisted of multiple viral marketing components that drove awareness and pre-release sales in the months leading up to the album launch. Virals included a twitter campaign that incentivized fans to “tweet” announcements about the new album, in doing so they qualified for the opportunity to win tickets and other prizes. Other components included pre-order sweepstakes and a stand-alone flash game that served as a platform to debut the band’s new singles. Game Demo: http://bigblue8.com/KISSVsMonsters

Chelsea-based visual artist, Karl Kotas (aka "Satok,") is teaming up with Chris Smith (aka “subtexture”) a Brooklyn-based pop-media designer, artist, curator and promoter, Danny Dynamic, and Francis Christie (aka "T-Fuk") to do a large-scale "magic carpet" on the floor of The Marina@ Pier 57. The Marina weaves together pop-up retail and food concepts in shipping containers and is located at the intersection of the Meatpacking District and West Chelsea Art Gallery district.
A component of the collective installation will be a live-art exhibition (June 28th through July 2nd.) where the artists transform the floor canvas into the "magic carpet." The exhibition continues with the invite-only 4th of July party and afterwards with the first unveiling of the "Mirrors of the Magic Carpet" for the public to interact with.
The long-term vision for Pier 57 is a new retail, food and cultural experience that serves as a hub for innovation, a home for the creative marketplace and a host to film festivals, art exhibits, shared work spaces, pop-up retail experiences and performance spaces and is being developed by Youngwoo and Associates.
