Lords of Acid NFTs on Cardano Blockchain Coming Soon
Lords of Acid is releasing a collection of NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) Acid Coins that are visual representations of their fictional universe of kinky songs and characters.
The band has always had a unique approach to their branding by combining underground comix imagery, rave-flyers and acid-drenched pop-art psychedelia. Their best-selling LP of 1994 Voodoo-U featured orgiastic lesbian devil girls by the artist known as Coop. The cover of their
2010 release Deep Chills was a spoof of R. Crumb’s iconic artwork for Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company. It introduced a kinky cartoon character for each of the 15 songs.
The Lords plan to launch an NFT Kryptoverse - a Blade Runner style metropolis featuring comic storefronts of their various lewd properties. There will be the Pussy Klub, Vampire Girl Lounge, and Children of Acid Skool of Mind Expansion among others. Each store will double as a digital gallery/auction house where collectors will be able to buy, trade and collect the artwork.. The stores will also have a grand-opening event where, for a limited time, collectors will be able to get tokens for free. Similar to the concept of CryptoPunks, each coin will have thousands of unique variations all of which are made digitally scarce through the use of blockchain technology.
The Lords plan to use the Cardano blockchain as opposed to Ethereum to mint their NFTs because the gas fees on the Ethereum network are prohibitive compared to new emerging options. Also, transaction fees on the Cardano chain are lower because tokens are native and don’t require smart contracts.
